Sunday Sermon - 12/22/2019 - Psalm 24 - Advent #4
Opening Prayer:
O Lord of Creation, you illuminate our hearts with the light of faith even as you illumined the void on the first day. And you order our hearts with the surety of truth even as you ordered the waters on the third day. And you fill our hearts with the fullness of joy, even as you filled the land and sea and sky with the fullness of living creatures of every kind. You are the God of glory, of beauty, of truth. Thank you for opening the eyes of our hearts to see you works as masterful and good, and to see our works as worthy of no commendation. May your people offer you the praise you are due, for the goodness of your creation and for the unmerited mercy of new life in Jesus Christ.
We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
