Sunday Sermon - 03/24/2019 - Ezekiel 33:7-20

Opening Prayer: O Holy God, in loving-kindness you again reassembled us today, having brought us through another week of untold joys and sorrows, bestowing upon us the honor of gathering with your people incorporate submission to you. The continual reassembly of your church is no small matter, for countless distractions, some wholesome and others not, are weekly placed upon the hearts and minds of your people, and it is no less than your divine hand that holds us together amidst the pulling forces of culture, work, and home. Thank you for preserving your church. Thank you for the honor of standing with your people, the honor of proclaiming in song and voice the greatness of the eternal God.

Sunday Sermon - 03/17/2019 - Jeremiah 26:1-24

Opening Prayer: O Holy God, so perfectly mighty are you that though generations of believers are called your servants, you have needed none of their service, none of their help, for certainly you have no need for imperfect humanity to assist you in executing your perfect plans. And so the psalmist is right to call you “my helper,” for though we are your servants, in truth our service is no help to you, but rather to serve you is the purpose for which we are made and is a conduit of blessing to us. Thank you for calling us to seek your face and for blessing us with the joy of submission to Jesus Christ. You are our helper, and though all others forsake us, our Lord will sustain us. We pray th

Thank you for adopting us. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Closing Prayer: O Holy God, the surety of our salvation is that Jesus Christ himself ensures that we will arrive home safely. Why then are we so often dismayed and w

Sunday Sermon - 03/03/2019 - 2 Timothy 4:9ff

Opening Prayer: O Holy God, your laws and commands grant life and peace to all who heed them, they strengthen weary souls and fill wayward hearts with holy desires. Thank you for your words. May your people honor you today by listening to and heeding your words. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Closing Prayer: O Holy God, so simple is the gospel message that it seems to get cluttered out of our minds; and yet, how much we need to hear it again, and again, and again. O God, you are lovely and glorious, and we are ungrateful and rebellious. You are welcoming and forgiving, we are haughty and proud. All there is for us to do is to again admit our need of mercy, and bend low before the l
