Sunday Sermon - 05/19/2019 - 1 Corinthians 1:18-31

Opening Prayer: O Holy God, it is the honor of your church to offer your continual praise for your innumerable acts of goodness and favor; thank you for the high call to offer you just praise. Your creation offers you praise by reflecting your beauty back to you; may your people do likewise by recounting your historic and current acts of mercy. And so may your church be filled with thankfulness, especially for the gift of Jesus Christ, through whom comes reconciliation with you. We pray this in the name of Jesus and for his glory. Amen Closing Prayer: O Holy God, peculiar is the truth that you are simultaneously the Omnipotent King and our tender Father. Our minds often slip to one side or t

Sunday Sermon - 05/12/2019 - Proverbs 29:17-18

Opening Prayer: O Holy God, you are the Great Shepherd, he who provides all the necessary means to survive and all the necessary means to live contentedly. Thank you for filling our hearts with peace and rest and joy in Jesus Christ. We pray this in the name of Jesus. The simple and profound truth is that the more we remember your holiness, the more content and peaceful we become. So, may your people honor you today in the remembrance of your holiness. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Closing Prayer: O Hol

Sunday Sermon - 04/28/2019 - 1 Corinthians 1:1-9

Opening Prayer: O Holy God, your might and wisdom are displayed in the intricate beauty of creation. Your goodness is displayed in the refreshment of food and drink and sleep. Your fatherly love is displayed in the warmth of friendship, especially in the bonds of long-suffering ministry. Thank you for blessing us with all goodness and kindness and joy. Please accept the praises of your church today. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen. Closing Prayer: O Holy God, thank you that the safety and survival of your church depends not on us, but on Jesus Christ! Thank you that though winds of temptation howl on the outside, and the winds of complacency threaten on the inside, nevertheless the s
