Sunday Sermon - 12/01/2019 - Psalm 122 - Advent #1
Opening Prayer:
O Holy God, sweet is the thought that you invite both Jews and Gentiles into your heavenly kingdom, that your open arms welcome all who are repentant and submissive, regardless of lineage. Joy swells to think that even we, from this little town, in our present day, with our regretful pasts and present struggles, are accepted as sons and daughters of the Heavenly Father. Great is your mercy, long is your patience, wide are your open arms. May you be honored in the words and songs and hearts of your people today.
We pray this in the name of Jesus.. Amen.
Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You for sending Jesus into the world as the Light to deliver us out of the darkness. Thank You that we may enjoy the pleasure of fellowship with You and other believers and the forgiveness of our sins by walking in the Light.
In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
