This advent season as we anticipate the celebration of Christ’s birth, we are also reminded to prepare for Christ’s return in glory. We’ll be focusing our attention on the following passages this season.

Please join us to worship and celebrate Christ’s birth on Christmas Eve from 6:00-7:45 PM. We’ll have a time of fellowship with snacks and drinks following the service. Our children will be with us through the service.

We won’t be meeting on Christmas Day, so we hope to see you on Christmas Eve!

One advantage that using the Facebook has is that it is immediately posted to the group, so that all can start praying quickly. So, please share your requests on our Facebook group page. Thanksgiving for God's Gift

Children are a gift from God: Psalm 127:3

Q: Do you receive from God with thanksgiving the honor and blessing of being this child's parents?

Recognition of God's Sovereignty

Scripture: Hannah's dedication of Samuel: 1 Samuel 1:27-28

Mary and Joseph dedicated baby Jesus at the temple in Jerusalem: Luke 2:22.

Q: Do you freely and humbly acknowledge that your daughter belongs to the Heavenly Father and that her life is in God's hands?

Dedication to God's Purposes

Scripture: Command to parents to instruct their children: Deuteronomy 6:4-7.

Q: Will you make every effort in both world and witness to diligently instruct your daughter in Christian faith and practice?

Q: Will you constantly plead with the Lord to grant your daughter mercy in order that she may believe the gospel and be saved?

Q: Will you encourage and exhort your your daughter to obey the Lord's call and fulfill God's purpose for her life?

We need some volunteers who can commit to go each month and share with them in this ministry. We also need help in providing cupcakes and desserts for the celebration. They will go from 1-5pm.

The DCC prayer chain is an exciting group of people dedicated to praying for urgent need and concerns as they arise. If you would like the prayer chain to join you in prayer, you can submit a prayer request. All requests are kept confidential within the chain. At DCC we value prayer individually, in large groups, and in small groups throughout the week. Come join us at one of our regular small group prayer times:

Men: Thursdays 7:00 AM at the church office

Lunch Fasting: Tuesday 12:15-12:45 at the church office

Women: 2nd and 4th Fridays 6:45 AM at the Collins' House (breakfast provided - contact Bryan for directions)
