As a church, we exist to increasingly manifest the love of God the Father in the integrity of our worship, witness, and works by the power of the Holy Spirit in order to prove to the world that we are authentic servants of the Lord Jesus Christ.
What is The Church?
Acts 2:42; Romans 12:1-6
The result of union with Jesus Christ is that all believers become members of His body, the church. There is one true church universal, comprised of all those who have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Scripture commands believers to gather together to devote themselves to worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, observance of baptism and communion as the ordinances established by Jesus Christ, fellowship, service to the body through development and use of talents and gifts, and outreach to the world. Wherever God's people meet regularly in obedience to this command, there is the local expression of the church. Under the watchcare of elders and other supportive leadership, its members are to work together in love and unity, intent on the one ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

Above & Beyond Collection - February 24
Throughout the year, we set aside special collections for benevolence needs in the church and community. The Lord has used these collections to allow us to minister in significant ways. The next Above & Beyond Collection will be February 24. Consider working as a family or Church@Home group to raise funds for this collection. The motive - not the amount - is what matters.
Prayer Breakfast for Woman to Woman PRC
Lesley Wilder is organizing a prayer breakfast for the Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center. We'd like to set a date and show our appreciation to and pray with the staff at W2W. In December, W2W had 67 visits, 3 professions of faith, and saved 16 babies from abortion. If you're interested in helping Leslie, call 940-300-3874.
DBC Women's Retreat
Denton Bible Church is sponsoring a women's retreat February 29- March 1 at the Double Tree Hotel in Dallas. More information is online.
